• show photos of the LBI locations: Barnegat Light House, Terrace Tavern, etc.
• discuss the life of a writer – successes and failures
• discuss self-publishing (The Years Gone Bye) versus signing a contract with a publisher (Secrets of the Heart)
About the book:
Secrets of the Heart . . . a web of love and lies on LBI. The story of Luke and Delia, and of Luke’s wicked mother Lizzie, whose vicious lies temporarily separate them. About the author:
Lorraine Rocco is a former elementary school teacher in Maple Shade and is a current Park House Guide at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. As a journalist, she has published more than 50 articles in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Among her writing credits are four First Place Awards at the Philadelphia Writer’s Conference and an Honorable Mention for Special Subject Writing in a New Jersey Press Association contest. Her first book, The Years Gone Bye, was published in June 2008. A mother of two and grandmother of four, she makes her home in Marlton.
