Has the current recession and economy altered your employment situation? Are you already feeling a wee bit queasy about starting yet another job search? Well, help is on the way! In this engaging, lively session, Lori Shapiro will offer a comprehensive, multi-pronged approach to conducting a job search that incorporates your people, research and computer skills. Areas of discussion will include job postings and ads, working with recruiters, direct mail campaigns, and networking.
Once you attend this seminar, your attitude when searching for that next career opportunity will shift from “oh, no” to “whoa!” Lori Shapiro is the owner of By All Writes LLC, a business copywriting and research service located in Marlton, NJ, and she is pleased to share her job search knowledge and experience with local residents challenged by the currently tumultuous employment market.
Previously, Lori worked for several notable companies, including General Motors, the Saturn Car Company, Tyco Toys (now Mattel) and Travel One (now American Express Travel Services). Ms. Shapiro holds a B.A. in Communications/English from Rutgers University (New Brunswick) and an M.A. in Organizational Communication/Marketing from Purdue University. As a ‘solopreneur’ in southern NJ, she is active in the Marlton Business Association, South Jersey Biz Buzz, and the Jewish Business Network of Southern NJ.
