Treasure in the Pinelands

Bark Rubbings from trees found in the Pinelands

Who knew that the hidden treasure in the Pinelands is actually … WATER! Local authors Gail Hunt and Roni Strain read their children’s book aloud, which is a story about Batsto – the bat.  We learned all kinds of interested facts about the Pinelands, what lives there, and why it is a local treasure.  Take a look at all of the activities we did while learning about the importance of water.  Fishing, bark rubbing, and coloring local fish pictures.
