Firetruck Tales

We celebrated Fire Prevention Week with the Evesham Fire Department.  The firefighters brought their firetruck & equipment to us here at the Evesham Library for a fun & educational program about fire safety.  We learned in case of a fire to “Go Low” to the ground because smoke rises.  Also, if you are trapped, hang a blanket or towel out of the window & the firefighters will know to look for you there.  Never hide in a closet or under a bed.  And adults should check the batteries in their smoke detectors twice a year … do that at Daylight Savings Time! (Daylight Savings is coming up soon – we Fall Back on Sunday, November 6th.)

Visit Sparky the Dog here for fun & fire prevention information.

A HUGE thank you to Evesham Libary and Evesham Fire Department for putting this class together. This is such important information to go over with your kids and it was presented in a way that made it fun for the kids and care takers alike. Great job!
